Early morning to JUC

City of David - palace of David... maybe... they are currently excavating this site.

Entering a Canaanite tunnel - too cold to go through Hezekiah's tunnel (where we would be walking through deep water- good 2001 memories) ...

Pool of Siloam - a good guess for what it looked like. This spot was SO COOL - mainly because it was found by accident in 2004 - this was just a street/fig orchard when we were last here. Crazy!!

Here it is above - or at least part - the rest is still under the fig orchard. The pool would be to the left - this picture is mainly of the steps leading into the pool. Permission has yet to be granted to excavate the rest.

Outside the temple - big rocks from a huge arch which used to be above (when the Romans burned the city the temple too was destroyed).

St. Anne's Church. We came here at the end of the semester in 2001 and sang - beautiful sounds (just a few days before we started dating - cheesy inclusion for nicole, kristin and hillary who heard so much about our relationship/friendship that semester - re-reading my journal I am reminded of what great listeners they were during the semester).
