long walk to purim - ended up not dressing up, which was better in the end as most adults weren't dressed up. got lost on the way. whoops. needed a pick-me-up, what's better than popcorn and good stories from colin and greg about their adventures in the galilee.

as i was waiting for the pictures to load calvin called. him and brent have arrived. i will meet them in an hour. whelp, better get ready for the day. Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lam 3:22-23
tonight we will remember the cross. i helped organize a tenebrae service - songs, communion, scripture - remembering the progression of Jesus' death. the service is divided into 7 sections and after each section a candle will be extinguished, and when the service is done all 7 candles will be out and we will leave in silence.
thank you Jesus for your death - for your obedience. that because of your death we may have life. may we honor you in our remembrance. may you change our hearts more into your image. may our celebration of your resurrection on sunday be more complete because of tonight. we love you.
