firsts with daddy

samantha has been spending more time than usual with her dad, with me going back to work. they have really enjoyed their days together!

firsts with daddy include:

the swing at the park (she LOVED it!)

coloring with crayons and paper

playing soccer (sam gives a good throw-in and tim dribbles it back to her)

drinking cow's milk in her bottle (mixed with formula because she doesn't yet like it by itself)


tonight after her bath i was struck by how old she looks. she is getting big. she is close to walking by herself. she is almost one.

we will begin the birthday celebration tomorrow with a party in vancouver on Canada day. and finish the celebration on sunday - her actual birthday - with a Latimer 4th of July extravaganza. hopefully she likes fireworks. :)

what a difference a year can make. a year ago we were waiting and waiting for baby bud. tomorrow we will celebrate one year of life for Samantha Jean. the Lord has been good and we are thankful for her - our precious gift.
